A Mass Shooting Attack Incites a Weapons Ban
To sell weapons or not? Could a ban prevent a possible massacre or not?
These are some of the questions that many people are asking themselves all over the planet, after the recent events in New Zealand.
Security and preservation are life’s basic impulse in human beings. It is contemplated within Human Rights, "Human Right number three (3): ` We all have the right to life and to live in freedom and safety.'" wwwhumanrights.com
Preservation of life begins with oneself and expands to the protection of a group of people on whom one directly and indirectly depends, such as the family, a country and the entire human race. A mass shooting attack incites a weapons ban.
Many countries manufacture weapons and market them. It can be aligned in several ways, protection of the state against foreign threats; the case of “Wars”. Internal protection; use of weapons by the police or military authorities. And it can arrive at needing a permit for the bearing of arms by a civilian to have a weapon. And even in some countries it does not take even a permit to buy a weapon and have it in your house. The problem arises with when and how the weapon is used.
The sale of weapons is a very lucrative business to the point that it is one of the businesses within the black market that provides the greatest dividends. Behind all this marketing there is Fear, unfounded marketing most of the time, that you must be protected and armed against the dangers of the environment.
It is a very big responsibility to carry a weapon. It is an ethical and a very personal decision to use that weapon, and it is a moral fact that it can be misused. This is where its use must be defined.
"Murder" is another thing entirely. By definition it means: "The unlawful killing of one (or more), human being by another, especially with malice and aforethought". L. Ron Hubbard
